In line with the global focus of 2019 to strongly raise ambition in greenhouse gas emissions reductions, the overall focus of Global Renewable Energy Forum (GREF) 2019 will be on pathways towards carbon-neutrality by 2050. In this regard, it will particularly focus on renewable energy and decarbonization policies as well as on hydrogen and power-to-x pathways to transit the planet to a sustainable energy future and towards carbon-neutrality by 2050 in line with the climate targets of the Paris Agreement.
The 2019 edition of the GREF is co-organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, Bonn Office, the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the UN Climate Change Secretariat (UNFCCC), and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. The DVGW is a cooperation partner.
