Pioneering technologies and customized solutions for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management.

IFAT in Munich is the world's leading trade fair for environmental technologies and international innovation platform for the sustainable use of resources. More than 3,000 exhibitors from all over the world will present their solutions and products for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management to the approximately 135,000 visitors.

As a partner of IFAT, the DVGW is actively contributing its expertise in the drinking water sector to the conceptual design and organisation of the trade fair in order to further sharpen IFAT's water management profile. 

As a competence network at the interface of science, business and politics, we actively shape the development of the energy and water industry. We see IFAT as an innovative industry platform for international water-related exchange.

The DVGW has been a partner of IFAT since 2016 and is actively involved as an ideal sponsor in organising the leading industry event for environmental technologies. Particularly with its know-how from the drinking water sector, the association expands the trade fair spectrum. In addition to its trade fair presence, the DVGW will also be supporting IFAT's congress programme with several specialist forums and presentations on current water management topics.

Live Demonstration Pipe Tapping & University Challenge

Visitors can also experience pipeline construction work on gas and water grids live. Teams of fitters will implement the manual steps in compliance with standards and regulations and answer questions on material, technology and application. At the University Challenge, an international competition, 18 teams of students compete in various disciplines. The aim is to find creative solutions for integrated water resources management at academic level.
