In August 2020, the test standard DIN 19294-1 was published, which since then has been the new basis for the characterization of UV low-pressure lamps in public water treatment in Germany (formerly specified in DVGW W 294-2 (A)). For the first time, an alignment with the Austrian test principles took place: DIN 19294-1 is identical in text to the revised ÖNORM M 5873-1:2020-01-01 from Austria. The new topic page provides an overview of the transition of the test principles for UV disinfection equipment from DVGW worksheets to DIN standards and additional information on the currently valid documents.
