Leading Edge Conference for Water and Wastewater Technologies in the Ruhr Area

At the LET conference, international water experts will discuss a wide range of topics and innovations in the water sector. More than 350 contributions from all over the world on current topics in drinking water and wastewater technology have been submitted. The international program committee is currently putting together the individual lecture blocks and events for the week-long conference. Registration for the conference is now open.

On Monday, 24 June 2024, the participants will work together in workshops in smaller groups. The workshop format enables an intensive exchange of knowledge at an international level.   

The official opening of the conference will take place on Tuesday, 25 June 2024, with high-ranking representatives from politics, public utilities and science. This will be followed by presentations on trace substance problems and desalination technologies. In the afternoon, climate change is on the agenda with a panel discussion on the European Green Deal as a driver of innovation in the water sector and presentations on greenhouse gas reduction and energy saving.
 
On Wednesday and Thursday (26. and 27 June), there will be presentations on the drinking water and wastewater sector in two parallel halls. The topics on the agenda include digitalisation, membrane and desalination technologies, resource recovery and sludge treatment, closing water cycles and innovative processes in wastewater treatment. A gala dinner will be held on Thursday evening at the end of the lecture program.
  
The excursions on Friday (28 June) will take participants to interesting and innovative water and wastewater technology plants in the Ruhr area and round off the conference program.
